Mixed-Age Room Capacity: We have children of different ages in 1 room. The capacity of the room depends on the number of children present or scheduled at one time. How does iCare handle that?

Mixed-Age Room: The children from different age groups are enrolled in one Room.

Note: Based on the child's age and the scheduled time the capacity of the room will be calculated.

In a Mixed-age room, you can manage children of different ages. In one room you can have any combination of children based on different age groups.

Suppose when you have the capacity of the Room= 9 with the children under the ages

Ages Max capacity
 Little(under 2 years) 3
Little+Middle(2 to 5years) 7
Old (above 5 years) 9

There can be 2 or more programs you have. But when you enroll a child it checks for the children's age before enrolling the child in the program.

For example: Let us consider a scenario in the age group with Little Max capacity= 3  and when you enroll the children like,

  • Child1 scheduled between 07:30 am to 01:30 pm
  • Child2  scheduled between 7:30 am to 05:30 pm
  • Child3   scheduled between  07:30 am to 05:30 pm

When you try to enroll a child4, there will be one capacity for 01:30 pm to 05:30 pm since the child1 is scheduled between  07:30 am to 01:30 pm.

When the slots are full (Max age capacity reached)  for all the days and all the timings you will get a message that “No slots are available for that particular date”.

Report for Admin:

You can check the number of children enrolled in each age group, under the custom Report: “Mixed-age enrollment and capacity report”.
