Somewhere I read that when a child is enrolled the first weeks charge is posted immediately. Is that right? I enrolled some children for summer; their first week charge was not posted.

All bills (FIXED) are posted on their Next Billing Dates. When a bill is scheduled for a future date, it will be charged on the Next Billing Date (NBD) which will be equal to its Start Date (SD).
For example, if a bill is scheduled for 06/01/2018, i.e., its SD and NBD is on 06/01/2018, it will be billed on 06/01/2018 for the first time.
You may change the NBD of a billing entry that has not been charged. Hover your mouse on the uncharged billing entry and click the edit icon to make changes.
