Why do I see my balance in brackets?

Why are there brackets on my account?
Balance in bracket ($) means you have a credit on your account. It reduces what you owe. In accounting terms, that means it’s recorded as a credit.
Does brackets mean something is wrong?
No. A bracket is a good thing—it shows money already applied to your account (payments, refunds, discounts, or adjustments).
How does a number in brackets affect my final balance?
The system subtracts your credit from new charges.
Example: ($15) credit + $25 charge = $10 balance.
What creates a balance in the bracket?
Payments made earlier
Overpayments
Refunds or credits from the center
Subsidy or agency payments
Manual adjustments
Where can I see how the credit was applied?
Your statement shows each line item. The number in brackets indicates where a credit reduced your total.
