There are two processes regarding children - Registration and Enrollment:

• Registration or addition of children and families in sites and rooms
• Enrolling children in programs and classes 

In the Registration process, a child can have 1 of 4 statuses:

• Active
• Future
• Waitlisted
• Inactive

Active: Implies that the child's latest Start Date <= Today AND the Discharge Date is either null or >= Today.

Future: Implies that the child's latest Start Date >= Today 

Waitlisted: Implies child has no Start Date and the Waitlist flag is ON. In this case, other factors also are set - Date Waitlisted and Priority Level.

Inactive: Implies that the child's latest Discharge Date < Today.

Admin can check or edit the status on the child profile page, on the right side under the summary tab.
