Is there a way for me to add required fields to the Main Contact's form? We need required fields for employment and physical address.

You may add these fields as User-defined Fields (UDFs) from Child Profile page under Contacts tab. However, these UDFs are cannot be set as Required at this moment. This will be the part of an enhancement on Contacts page, which will be taken up for developement pretty soon.
